To help us to support the business, we have a fantastic development opportunity for a graduate to join our procurement team. Through mentoring you will learn and become competent in managing various contracts for the provision of goods and services in the Water business. You will work with all departments across the business and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and become qualified in the Procurement profession (CIPS – Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply). Your key responsibilities will include: Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation and the Company procedures around procurement and supplier management Providing recommendations through analysing spend, market benchmarking and identifying the potential for savings and best value Building stakeholder relationships managing end to end procurement processes Supporting and or leading supplier negotiations and tender processes Leading and supporting supplier events and innovation workshops Being Graduate level (at 2:1 or above) in a Business Studies Degree or related discipline, preferably with knowledge of procurement and supply chain (through work placement or modules covered). We are looking for someone who is proactive and can Influence & engage with the team and the business. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the confidence to work alongside senior stakeholders and external suppliers. You will have proven organisational skills, ability to manage your own time and be self motivated.
