Ongoing business with one of our major clients in the nuclear defence business has resulted in a requirement to find Manufacturing Engineers to work on site at their premises in Derby. The Manufacturing Engineer will enter a high quality, precision environment. In order to carry out these roles, you must have current security clearance to Security Check (SC) level. This means that positions are not open to non British nationals. Key Technical and Professional Skills. Essential: Sound knowledge of basic manufacturing processes:- Machining; Welding; Assembly & Testing; Fitting; Fabrication & Plating; Non Destructive Testing; Component Handling Techniques; HS&E Requirements. IT Skills - particularly proficient in the use of MS Word and MS Excel, ability to manage and process large quantities of data into a structured and useable format. Desirable: Familiar with 6 Sigma improvement tools and techniques; Black Belt; New Product Introduction; Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA); Route Cause Analysis; Ishikawa; 5 Why's; Pressure Vessel Manufacturing experience; Experience of manufacturing components & assemblies over 2 tonnes.
