Interim Senior Business Analyst £516-645 per day pay range [temporary, but potentially long term role, subject to extension by the client] Where this vacancy is based: Sutton Coldfield What's involved with this role: Interim Senior Business Analyst Undertake investigative work to determine business opportunities, and specify effective business processes; Specify their implementation through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, organisation and equipment; Conduct investigations for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies; Maintain technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analysed, modelled and classified according to technical feasibility and non-functional characteristics; Assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities; Take responsibility as needed for the detailed specification and modelling of recommended solutions; Apply available standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way and produce a consistently high standard of documentation; Define, plan and justify (in business terms) projects to develop/implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes; Assist clients/users in defining acceptance criteria for testing of automated systems; Produce business models in support of business strategy; Cross-check various model elements for inconsistencies and incompleteness eg finite state models against use case models, class diagrams against business rules, case post conditions against class diagrams; Elicit and record business rules and confirm them with business experts; Contribute to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in change programmes including cultural, organisational and business constraints affecting options for change; Assess the risks, costs and potential benefits of alternative business process designs. Specifics to the role: You will lead a team responsible for the capture, analysis and definition of business needs and to identify where Information Systems and services can be exploited to address customer needs and deliver tangible benefits. You will undertake an Account Management role and will be required to develop detailed knowledge and understanding of the customers' business environment to identify opportunities for improvement through the implementation of new or enhancements to existing IS/IT products and services. You will lead and support a team of Business Analysts with requirements capture, analysis, definition and overseeing their successful execution during implementation and acceptance. Key duties of the role include: - Building long-term relationships with high level customer and supplier representatives. Regular engagement with stakeholders using their feedback to establish new business needs or to initiate improvements to CIO's existing service offerings - Promoting the overall DIO IS strategy and vision and educating stakeholders on how IT can support the business - Oversee promotional and marketing activities of products and services provided by CIO to its customers. - Promote new technologies that could be exploited to deliver business benefits. - Influence the development and enhancement of IS/IT services, products and systems used within DIO. - Take full responsibility for the level of customer satisfaction and respond promptly to customer queries, complaints or recommendations. - Define common standards and procedures for the capture, analysis and documentation of business requirements. - Ensure business and system requirements are correctly elicited, captured, developed and managed through to delivery and acceptance. Experience required: Seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years Business Analysis experience. Pay Rate: £516-£645 per day pay range This is a temporary, but possibly long term role.
