At Pattonair we have an opportunity for an accomplished Manufacturing Engineer professional to join our Head Office function in Derby as Technical Procurement Engineer The main focus of the role is to provide technical support to the Commodity teams in establishing capable suppliers and to ensure that the product validation process is robust from Bid to Introduction. As the Technical Procurement Engineer you will technically lead the introduction of new products into new or existing supply chain ensuring the supplier’s production system is stable and capable. To be considered for the role, the successful candidate will possess a HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and have significant experience of working within a manufacturing environment. Experience of using advanced quality tools (FAIRs, PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP, etc.) and the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings for form, fit, function and specification is essential. You must be have excellent presentations skills, be to communicate at all levels and be competent in using all MS Office applications. It would be an advantage if candidates who are applying have experience of working within a technical role within an aerospace or automotive environment, knowledge of Engineering materials (metallic & non-metallic) and a variety of manufacturing processes plus exposure to Aerospace OEM specifications & methods.
