Job Summary: Support the project team to Create, implement and maintain a suite of Design/Make programme plans that provide comprehensive control & visibility for all Integrated tasks. Liaise with the key functional areas of design, stress, thermals and aero engineering and Material Requirement & Planning Control (MRPC) teams, as well as liaising with domestic and external suppliers to deliver Sub System key attributes (performance, cost, weight, life, etc), and ensuring parts/components are delivered on-time from the domestic or external supply-chain. Manage the risk process ensuring all identified risks are mitigated with supporting plans to an acceptable conclusion, and ensure all stakeholders are supported and aware of each IPT task's performance, including risks, and hazards and opportunities. Lead the IPT to achieve the design make plan via the change process including Product Change Board, Design Definition Review & Audit Meeting and Design / Technical Review gates. Act as the focal point for the IPT and provide the Assistant Work Package Owner, Sub-System and Project Managers with information necessary to control and manage the overall Project This role provides opportunity to interface cross-functionally Required Skills: Key Interpersonal Competencies and Soft Skills (All Essential except where marked) - Good Communication in English (oral & written) & Interpersonal skills - Customer Focus - Organizational Agility - Problem solving ability (e.g. 8D) - Proactive - Ability to build and develop Customer & Supplier relationships - Logical Thinking - Effective Time management - Result driven. Nice to Have - Open Minded with objective thinking - Team building and mentoring Key Technical/Professional Competencies (All Essential unless where marked) - Good knowledge on various component manufacturing processes - Well versed with Engineering & manufacturing drawings - Knowledge of NDT and special process techniques - Good knowledge on Concessions, containment procedures and traceability techniques - Knowledge of aerospace QMS/auto quality requirements (AS9100, OSHAS, TS16949, various ISO ) - Understanding of product design and introduction - Understanding of Lean Manufacturing , PFMEA and Control plans - Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering core processes (e.g. process planning, inspection planning, tooling, creation of operator instructions) - Understanding of Measurement processes - Understanding of Process capability as determined by statistical process control - Ability to characterize various tools, tooling's and fixtures (datum story) - Ability to interpret engineering drawings/models Desired Skills: - Good Communication in English (oral & written) & Interpersonal skills - Customer Focus - Ability to build and develop Customer & Supplier relationships - Organizational Agility - Problem solving ability - Logical Thinking - Effective Time management - Result driven
