BI Developer - ETL - Data Lichfield £30,000 - £40,000 Per annum We require - BI Developer Computer Peoples Large nationally recognised client are looking for creative BI Developer to contribute to the growth of the company and to ensure that the Business Intelligence capability is founded upon an operational and Analytical data store (Encompassing internal, external, structure and unstructured data) that is fit to support decision-making with goal of delivering measurably improved business results. Responsibility Understand the structure and meaning of data in multiple internal and external Create logical and physical operational data stores, staging areas, dimensional models and analytical data Design, develop, unit test and deliver processes that extract data from sources, transform data to implement business logic and populate the BI data stores (ETL). Implement data cleansing activities in ETL and help define business rules to support data quality. Implement star schema dimension maintenance from managed master data Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in business requirements or source systems. Generate non-functional requirements and create an appropriate, documented support regime in partnership with IS, to include: administration of routine operations monitoring of availability and performance back-up and disaster Understand and implement security and compliance processes in partnership with IS and Risk & Compliance Maintain live, test and development environments in partnership with Administer user access Tune performance of the BI data store, optimising physical storage, indexing and aggregation. Experience In-depth knowledge of BI software and toolkits as well as the supporting IS infrastructure (i.e. hardware, database software and networking devices) with particular emphasis on data integration, data quality and master data Well versed in dimensional modelling (i.e. Kimball methodology) Broad understanding of BI information exploitation methods including ad-hoc queries, data mining techniques, data visualisation, real-time intelligence and data Good stakeholder management capability, engagement and communication Solid experience of business analysis, including requirements Creative problem MS SQL Server SSIS Please apply for further details and I will be in touch This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/74656846
