Role

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Fundraising, the full time position (37.5 hours per week) is based at the London Office with frequent travel to other operational sites. The role attracts a salary of circa GBP24k per annum (depending on competence, experience and qualifications) plus benefits.

Purpose

Achieve organisational and financial objectives with particular focus on national partnerships, events and fundraising campaigns.

Scope

Assistance to the Director of Marketing and Fundraising

Provide assistance to ensure the yearly business plan for the Business Development Team is implemented to support the organisational strategy and achieve income generation targets
Ensure an annual budget for all corporate, events, major campaigns and business and commercial relationships is implemented with regular monitoring and reporting
Undertake administrative support for the Acting Head of Fundraising including financial reporting, invoicing and team administration

Assistance to the Fundraising Team

Undertake research, prepare pitching documents and presentations for commercial partnerships and business relationships
Assist with new creative and fun ways of fundraising through community events and unique campaigns, with emphasis on awareness raising through talks and presentations to community groups
Collaborate with other income generation teams to secure and maximise fundraising opportunities
Monitor competitor activity in our service areas and best practice nationally
Team administration such as invoices, reporting, expense claims and artwork requests
Recruit and manage volunteers for the office

Undertake any other task reasonably required for an acceptable performance of the role.

Person

Essential

Significant experience in a similar role, with a particular focus on corporate, events and fundraising campaigns teams including taking charge of organising events from conception to conclusion
Experience of providing assistance to a team and managing volunteers
Excellent writer and communicator, and effective relationship builder
Commercially astute
Results driven, with the ability to achieve targets
Experience to present and articulate information at various events
Self-starter but also a team player
Challenge and solutions driven person
Effective time management
Good knowledge of reporting financial spreadsheets including budgets and targets
Willing to travel regionally and nationally
Genuine and passionate interest in the work of TAAS

Desirable

Experience of fundraising for a commercial entity or registered charity
Knowledge of The Raisers Edge and X565
Experience of working with various other income disciplines
