Established in 1957 by visionary George Verwer, OM is a dynamic, international Christian missions movement. In the OM family of ministries, we have 6,100 workers representing over 113 nations in more than 110 countries and in world port communities, through our ship, Logos Hope.

About the role

1) Ensuring that OM UK is adequately staffed in cooperation with the Director of Community &
HR and relevant Department Heads in order that OM UK can fulfil its mission.

This will include initiating and overseeing the recruiting and selection process in accordance with OM UK agreed recruiting processes, in cooperation with Department Heads and OM Home Offices where appropriate.

2) Ensuring that up to date, workable and accurate HR procedures and policies are in
operation throughout OM UK, in order that consistency is maintained and they are in line
with UK law and OM International personnel policies and procedures.

3) Working under the Director of Community and HR, you will be responsible for managing a team made up of people based in the same office and working from other UK offices. Therefore, you will be expected to set up and facilitate regular meetings to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

4) As Head of HR, you will ensure that new staff members have a relevant and timely induction to OM and their team, and oversee departmental annual appraisals, 6 month reviews and exit interviews.
