Assistant Lettings Manager - Social Housing Walsall Salary: Circa £31,000 Hours: 37 hours per week Since our client were formed in 2003, they have invested over £400 million in their homes and they have developed a range of services that go beyond their traditional role as a landlord. Managing the Lettings team to a high standard by motivating and leading the team to work innovatively, smartly, flexibly and to be accountable for service delivery you will support the Lettings Manager in delivering the operational objectives. This will be achieved by leading colleagues by example through exemplary performance, customer service, attendance and standards. Making a positive difference to communities is a priority, you will support the Lettings Manager to deliver against strategic aims and objectives by ensuring that tenancy agreements are compliant and support sustainable tenancy agenda. Your challenge is to ensure that the team manage housing applications in accordance with the Allocations Policy, ensuring that void times are kept to a minimum and empty homes are allocated in accordance with KPI's. Experience of managing a team is essential, the right candidate will have the ability to effectively performance manage and get the best out of all colleagues. You will have recent and relevant experience of working in Housing with a focus on allocating properties within a social housing organisation, with an in depth understanding of operating a choice based lettings service. Further to this you will have knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to housing management, and a thorough understanding of operational practises relevant to the role. Awareness of current legislation affecting the Housing sector and welfare benefits would be beneficial. The attitude to thrive in the face of challenge and adversity at work and competence in the use of IT systems, with the ability to input and access data quickly and accurately using computerised software is also required. You will also have experience of delivering value for money and cost reductions whilst improving service delivery.
