Production Team Leader Location: Dosthill, Near Tamworth, Staffordshire. B77 1LT Salary: Competitive salary annual bonus Hours: 6.00am to 5.00pm on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern About Us Wienerberger is the world's largest producer of bricks and No. 1 on the clay roof tiles market in Europe with 204 plants in 30 countries. The Wienerberger group has been manufacturing quality clay building products since 1819 when we opened our first factory in Vienna, Austria. Our presence in the UK is currently larger than at any point in our near 200 year history, employing c 1200 people across our Head Office, 4 showrooms, 13 manufacturing sites and 6 distribution centres throughout the UK. We manufacture in excess of 400 products including bricks, blocks, roof tiles and pavers for the homebuilding and renovation markets. We are currently seeking to recruit a Team Leader at our Kingsbury factory in Staffordshire. About The Role Drive output and productivity whilst maintaining appropriate standard of product quality Manage workplace safety and environmental performance to the appropriate standards Using a hands on approach with effective leadership, ensure a culture of continuous improvement while promoting a learning environment for staff to reach their full potential Key Responsibilities Actively manage the shift operation ensuring that all plant is running to optimum, quality is being maintained & their workforce is fully occupied. Communicate to team members any relevant quality information such as waste targets, customer feedback/complaints, ongoing or planned improvements. Visual daily monitoring of production line for quality, waste and efficiency. Ensure H&S safety standards are communicated effectively and maintained at all times in line with the company's policies and procedures. Ensure the correct planning of production requirements in conjunction with the Production Manager on a regular basis. Summarise previous shift performance and identify key issues for daily production meeting. Oversee the various quality checks as specified on the production check list. Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods throughout the shift is imperative. Control and monitoring of raw materials stocks and clay prep Identify future training needs and carry out training for your staff and yourself which will assist in the development of a professional and flexible team and maximise the utilisation of resources. About You - Minimum of 3 years line management responsibilities. - 2 years plus experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries - Good exposure to health & safety standards - IT skills - working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
