Continental Engineering Services (CES) is uniquely positioned across Continental’s Automotive Group’s three divisions of Chassis & Safety, Powertrain and Interior - with a focus on applying its products and knowhow in different market segments such as niche vehicles, new market entrants, and non-automotive industries. As an engineering services provider CES’s activities are both broad and deep, including leading engineering feasibility studies and prototype product development; vehicle integration, conversion and build; and series production programs – both in the focus market segments, and for local major OEMs. As a product supplier, CES can adapt Continental Automotive Group's existing components and systems, or take a clean sheet of paper approach - and produce them in its own manufacturing facility that is focused on cost effective small batch production and special solutions. Our 1200 developers at 14 locations worldwide cover all engineering disciplines In the UK, CES is located in Lichfield at the modern facility of Zytek Automotive that it acquired fully in 2014. Zytek is perhaps best known for its products and expertise in conventional and electric/hybrid vehicle powertrains. Chassis and Interior teams have also been established to reflect the needs of the market, and the structure of CES. The business is involved in a wide range of technically-challenging projects both within and outside the automotive sector, including development, testing, manufacturing, motorsport, and OEM prototype vehicle build. We are seeking a motivated individual to fulfil the new position of Sales Coordinator, reporting to the Head of Sales. The role is supporting the Head of Sales and the Sales & Business Development Managers. Duties will include: Process and monitor customer requests (RFI/RFQ) through to formal CES quotation via the PLCA tool Maintain KPIs of requests/quotes/awards and acquisition status reports for the Head of Sales Establish NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) with customers (with assistance of Legal Team) Ensure customer credit checks and payment terms are up to date (with assistance of Controlling Team) Support arrangement of special events (with support of Marketing Team) Coordinate and maintain marketing material and website content (with support of Engineering) Skill Set: Motivated/Driven Teamplayer Accuracy and timeliness of work Self-starting (ability to work to a goal/process and to make decisions) Ability to track and summarise data efficiently for management reports Good communication skills Customer oriented Sales / Business Development experience is an advantage Business degree is desirable Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – advanced Excel (e.g. pivot tables) desirable Salary & Benefits: Competitive Salary Continental Value Share Bonus 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays Private Medical Insurance Life Insurance Company Pension scheme Childcare Voucher scheme Discount on tyres Training Opportunities Modern working environment This job was originally posted as
