A Multinational Aggregates company with a vast client base are looking to recruit a Mechanical Planner to apply Maintenance Methodology within a large scale production facility. The successful applicant would ideally have strong technical knowledge and material handling equipment experience. Commutable From: Leek, Ashbourne, Stoke, Utoxeter, Matlock, Derby Salary: £ 39,000 - £ 47,500 p.a. plus benefits Suitable For: Planner, Mechanical Planner, Methods Planner, Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Manager The Role Define the detailed methodology for carrying out mechanical execution tasks taking into account priorities and the required resources, skills coordination and supervision. Ensure that all necessary materials are available for planned operations and meet the required quantity and quality. Prepare time and cost estimates for work orders and job plans to help optimising resources allocation. Create detailed job-plans for important maintenance operations (technically and/or financially important), and detailed risk assessments and safe methods of work, Draw up regular inventories of the spare parts and ensure their availability in co-ordination with the stores. Maintain and update information and data in the CMMS. Plan major equipment annual overhauls. Co-ordinate shutdown plans for all departments/assist with shutdown management and Contractor supervision during major repair periods. Produce tender specifications in line with company standards for engineering services and spares for issue by the purchasing manager. Liaise with third parties to maintain statutory records for lifting equipment (LOLER) and Works pressure vessels. Where deemed necessary issue of permits to work. The role requires inclusion to the engineering 'call out rota'. The Person The successful applicant will have HNC or equivalent and have served a recognised apprenticeship. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment combined with established heavy industry Plant experience. Technical knowledge of preventive, predictive and systematic maintenance (databases, CMMS, Project Software). Local safety rules and regulations. Knowledge of quality management methods. Computer literacy, including Maximo, Microsoft Project. Proven organisational skills and have the ability to communicate at various levels on site.
