My client, the Shakespeare Hospice based in Stratford upon Avon was established in 1999 to provide expert, holistic and specialist care of the highest standard for those living in South Warwickshire, North Cotswolds, Kenilworth and Southam. The Hospice delivers supportive and palliative care through four core services - Day Hospice, Hospice at Home, Family Support Services and Young People's Services for patients and their families living with a life limiting illness. The Hospice is looking for pro-active, enthusiastic community fundraiser to join their team.

Main purpose of the role:

To build relationships with individuals, volunteers and community based groups to maximise income and awareness generating opportunities for the Hospice. To manage and co-ordinate a broad portfolio of fundraising activities, whilst achieving clear income targets. Ensuring that every aspect of the "the supporter journey" is well planned and managed will be an important feature of this post.

Key areas of responsibility to include:

To sustain and grow community fundraising income at the Hospice from existing and new sources to meet targets and delivered within budget.
To be proactive in seeking out new partnerships with individuals and groups across the local community, engaging with a wide variety of audiences from schools, colleges, churches, civic groups and clubs, various community groups and local councils.
To work with volunteers in order to maximise their fundraising potential and ensure they are working within expected Fundraising Standards and best practice
To be responsible for managing and developing relationships with those who choose to raise money in aid of the Hospice and provide personalised supporter care to ensure they have a trusted point of contact, are supported fully and they reach their maximum fundraising potential.

Person specification to include:

Excellent communication skills - must be able to relate to a diverse range of people
Experience of working with and motivating volunteers
Experience of working within a customer/supporter orientated environment
Experience of Event Organising
Goal Orientated
Empathy with the work of The Shakespeare Hospice
