Quality Inspector - Dimensional Our client is a reputable Aerospace precision manufacturing facility, specialising in fabrications and machined metallic components. Their clients include the worlds largest and most reputable Aerospace businesses. They are seeking Quality Inspectors to join their growing business, successful candidates must confidently be able to read technical drawings and use dimensional measuring equipment. Industries outside of Aeropsace will be considered depending on experience. Duties and Responsibilities - Perform Final/Release Inspections as required following written procedures to ensure compliance to specification and contractual requirements. - Review completed job cards for accuracy and completeness and perform product documentation final release reviews. - Checking traceability and Identification requirements are satisfied by checking job cards, batch numbers, labels and part marking. - Visually assess parts to identify any damages or non-compliance. - Use a variety of handheld inspection tools, callipers, micrometres, depth gauges, shadowgraph etc. to ensure accurate measurements are taken. - Assess product compliance to various customer specific requirements. - Assess and interpret FAIR reports, concessions / production permits. - Complete and file quality records including job cards, inspection record sheets and non-conforming material reports. - Identify and record any non-conformances to specification requirements. - Assist with resolving quality problems within the inspection department by supporting RCCA investigations. - Adhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment to maintain a safe work environment. Quality Inspector - Dimensional Experience and Additional Skills - Strong quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment, including final/release inspection activities. - Experience in delegated customer quality self-release activities (ideally AS13001 certified - CRI over check) is highly desirable. - Working experience with Aerospace OEM's is also desirable - Demonstrate an understanding and use of AS9100 and AS9102 standards ideally - Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. - Experience of conducting MSA's (Measurement System Analysis). - Strong team work background. - A high level of flexibility in support of business needs. - MRP system experience, PC literate with good administration skills.
