We are currently recruiting for a Filling Hall Team Leader at our Foston site. The post holder will report to the Production Shift Manager and oversee the safe and efficient operation of the production filling operation, and where required assist in the day to day running of the department. There will be a requirement to cover the Production Shift Manager in their absence. Your challenge In this role the key responsibilities will include: Management and direction setting of the production staff Checking and recording of paperwork, monitoring technical compliance Driving hourly filler/department efficiencies within the department Movement of materials within SAP operating system Running of fillers, to be able to support as and when required Involvement of continuous improvement objectives Ensuring the right product at the right time, first time for despatch operation Liaising with internal customers and departments Working with the engineering team, ensuring that all equipment is functional and compliant Full adherence to all standard operating procedures, company standards, health and safety procedures, and other policies and procedures including: personal hygiene, the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, standard operating procedures Create a safe working environment Reporting near misses and providing a timely robust closure Provide clear leadership to the team and to be the first point of call Training, coaching and effective decision making based on sound principles Monitoring absence and completing return to work interviews Using lean problem solving skills and tools to actively increase production whilst reducing all forms of wastage to lowest cost SOP - create work instructions, implement and train out Reduce customer complaints by ensuring the processes align with technical and customer specifications GMP - ensuring all areas are clean and fit for purpose. Self-auditing and ensuring the department is audit ready Working alongside the technical department to ensure best practice is achieved Working alongside the Despatch department, ensuring that all deliveries are met, on time and in full Key skills & experience Experience of working in a FMCG environment would be beneficial A team player who can also work independently Knowledge of the various lean methods and their implementation Use lean methods to reduce all forms of waste Utilise people skills to get the best from our employees Proactive in their approach to production, quality and people issues Remains calm, confident and applies logic to any situation Prepared to support the operational needs when required, with short notice The Process If you have the skills and experience in the above areas and would like to be considered for this role please apply at [URL removed]
