Role Summary: Head of Data & Analytics. You will be accountable for the leadership, management, governance and quality of all data across my clients organisation.Client DetailsOur Client: A large organisation with significant operations in the UK. We therefore require candidates who have come from similar sized organisations who can navigate the complexities and politics that may arise.DescriptionKey Responsibilities: The Head of Data & Analytics is a senior member of the team and is accountable for the leadership, management, governance, and quality of all data across the organisation. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the development and provision of Management Information and Business Intelligence products to all business functions and the analysis of the business, including relationships to drive and support executive decision-making. Through the valid interpretation and evaluation of findings, conclusions, and justification from analysis activity you will identify and communicate recommendations that will enable and positively influence the decision-making of peers and senior management across the organisation. The role also has wider accountabilities for the development, ownership, and implementation of the Data & Analytics Vision and Strategy, the promotion and demonstration of the value of data and analytics to the organisation, and the driving of data-driven behaviours and culture that will culminate in an information-centric organisation. A key aspect of this role is developing a vision and strategy that is future proof and that fully encompasses the latest data thinking whilst maximising the use of the latest tools and technology. You will be responsible for the delivery of the MI & Data programme ensuring that the data vision and strategies are aligned. You will drive and communicate the data and analytics vision and strategy to Senior Stakeholders and operational leaders to ensure 100% buy in and the effective delivery of the programme across the business. You will ensure the best MI and BI is delivered across the business units to ensure that the correct commercial decisions can be made, to do this you will drive the communication mechanisms and partnering aspect to ensure the business is utilising the new data opportunities that are now available. ProfileIn order to qualify for this opportunity, you will have: * Strong leadership skills gained through substantial experience of operating at senior management levels with a proven track record of building, leading, and developing teams and capabilities through successful implementation of data and analytics strategies that fulfil organisational visions, objectives, and requirements. * Strong stakeholder management ability, specifically communication, motivation, negotiation, and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation, including the ability and confidence to collaborate, challenge, debate, and justify key topics and issues with senior management and leaders. * Proven ability as a data and analytics 'thought leader' within a comparatively-sized organisation with a proven track record of building trust through the transformation of innovations into realities that are meaningful, engaging, and inspire others to adopt new ways of thinking. * Experience in comparable industries and operationally-sized organisations of implementing and positively exercising policies, procedures, and controls that illustrate rules of engagement, decision and ownership rights, and accountabilities for the effective management of risk across the organisation. * Proven ability of managing a team that thoroughly understands and can apply complex analytical techniques and statistical validation to structured and unstructured data, and can influence senior management through the clear presentation of data-rich insights using appropriate graphics and business language so that key messages can be quickly understood and actioned. * Experience within comparable industries and operationally-sized organisations of researching, developing, and applying best practice across all data and analytics activities, tasks and behaviours. * Previous roles must include the leading and directing teams of experienced and skilled users of SAP BW, Business Objects, QlikView, SAS, Tableau, Lumira, SAP HANA, HADOOP, or similar solutions. * Previous roles must include the working with external data suppliers and successfully building and managing complex, outsourced relationships that demand detailed and specific contractual and performance arrangements.Job OfferJob Opportunity: This is your chance to take on the challenge of a Head of Domestic Data & Analytics role, you will accelerate your career working for a recognised global leader in the utilities sector, working out of the state of the art offices in Birmingham.
