Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Income Enforcement Officer to maximise the income collected by the association through close monitoring of payments and by following association policy and procedures.

In this key role you will be responsible for the collection of rent and service charge arrears and ensure that action is taken in line with agreed procedures and timescales, maintaining accurate monitoring systems and preparing reports as necessary. You will attend court proceedings and represent the association as required.

Further to this you will be required to meet challenging performance targets and lead on projects to minimise the impact of the Welfare Reform. You will also be required to liaise effectively with key external partners in order to resolve problems. In addition you will ensure that the Group's single equalities scheme is fully implemented at all times when communicating internally and externally.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in managing difficult and complicated rent arrears cases and an understanding of the benefits available to their customers and the process for applying. You will possess excellent IT skills and a current valid driving licence.

An A level standard of education or equivalent through relevant training/ experience as well as proven relevant legal experience is required. Comprehensive and up-to-date operational knowledge of housing legislation and best practice and up-to-date knowledge of HCA policies and standards are also essential.
