Oldham is changing and we have ambitious plans for the future, with a GBP120m investment programme in place to revitalise the town.

We are looking for two Independent Board Members to be part of our new Cultural Quarter Steering Group. This exciting new development will include a new Coliseum Theatre with a 550 seat auditorium and 175 seat Studio, a state-of-the-art Heritage and Arts Centre showcasing Oldham's proud past, as well as investment into other heritage assets.

Oldham is already home to a thriving creative and cultural scene and the Cultural Quarter will complement and build on our existing offer.

If you can demonstrate leadership at a regional or national level, have previous board level, operational, or fundraising experience and are passionate about culture and heritage in Oldham, then we would like to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to work with us to achieve our vision and objectives and to bring an ambitious project to fruition.

The Steering Group meets quarterly and there will also be additional duties such as reading policy documents and briefings and being involved in supporting events or fundraising. The role is voluntary and unpaid.

Interested applicants should email their CV and a covering letter explaining why the role appeals to them and what particular skills they could bring to the Steering Group to Roger Frith, Head of Strategic Regeneration and Development at

You can also contact Roger for an informal chat or to request a detailed person specification.
