Application Support - Windows Server, Windows Desktop and Linux operating systems One of Talent's leading clients is urgently looking for an Application Support - (Windows Server, Windows Desktop and Linux operating systems) They are seeking an experienced, talented and inspirational Application Support. You will be responsible for the delivery, administration, maintenance and continual service improvement of internal line of business services and applications to the enterprise. The position is to be based within their Stoke office. The Application Support role is the delivery of virtualised applications and desktops across multiple sites, both in the UK and abroad, and to remote business consumers. Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience: - Experience of working on highly available large scale enterprise platforms. - Good knowledge and understanding of Windows Server, Windows Desktop and Linux operating systems. - Strong troubleshooting methodology and experience of troubleshooting production system issues. - Understanding of Network Load Balancers, LAN's and Firewalls. - Ability to manage conflicting priorities, work independently, multitask and meet tight deadlines. - Experience of delivering technical projects to a structured methodology. - Can do attitude and willingness to learn new skills. - Able to create cohesive and accurate technical documentation. - Able to present and communicate technical ideas to senior business stakeholders. Role Overview: - Maintain uptime, capacity and availability of all platforms with the remit of the post. - Troubleshoot and resolve service affecting incidents and problems within the remit of the post. - Respond to technical issues escalated to the Team and restoration of services within expected timescales. - Contribute to a Problem Analysis investigation role. - Analyse services and make service improvement recommendations. - Administration and maintenance of Application Delivery services. - Communicate effectively with senior managers and stakeholders when handling escalated incidents or issues - Create and maintain documentation, including systems configuration, processes, test and project plans - Performance optimisation analysis and tuning. - Provide technical guidance and support to the 2nd line Support Teams.
