OnPoint Executive Search Ltd are currently seeking a Business Support Analyst to join a well known Haulier based in Stoke on Trent. Due to continued growth and changing market conditions our client is recruiting for an outstanding individual to join their team reporting directly to the MD. The role is a full time position and has been created due to rapid business growth. They require an enthusiastic individual who has a very analytical mind and excellent mathematics and spreadsheet skills. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of flexible working and have a proven track record of working in similar businesses. As a Business Support Analyst you will be required to assist the senior management team by working closely with the Sales/Marketing, Network, Operations, ICT and Finance teams to analyse commercial and operational activities and decide on particular strategies. Attention to detail, excellent telephone manner, advanced with Microsoft packages and superb administration skills are essential to fulfil the role. They are looking for an outstanding individual that possesses drive, motivation and determination and a willing to progress upwards through the transport industry. Responsible for supporting three key areas of the business Reporting on Operational KPI's (producing daily / weekly / monthly reports of KPI's for the operation to use) Business Modelling & Analysis (review current positions and highlight trends for analysis that will enable the business to make informed decisions) Strategic Planning (review of future improvements / enhancements that drives the business forward) Responsibilities: Produce daily / weekly / monthly reports, in a timely and accurate manner Maintain and develop various models and standard templates for use by management to ensure quality / accuracy and focused analytical review Interpretation and analysis of weekly costs for the business (Weekly Finance Flash) Interpretation and analysis of daily / weekly service KPI's for the business (Depot Scorecard) Provide advice to the Operation, pro-actively identify opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives Troubleshooting problems and providing solutions via computer based solutions Demonstrate insightful use of business analysis techniques, tools and concepts to provide practical counsel to business area partners and management in order to drive best business results for our customers Working on the back end admin function of our in house system ensuring all data is up to date and relevant Collating and channelling data from various in house platforms in a clear, coherent manner for a wide range of purposes Skills Required: Educated to Degree level (Diploma in Business) Certified Business Analyst Possess a good understanding of business environment Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques Excellent Mathematical and IT skills ( MS Excel Advanced/Expert) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong work ethic with a positive 'can do' attitude Creative at problem solving Able to work alone or with a team Able to work well under pressure Self motivated and proactive Able to multi-task within a challenging, fast paced environment
