Description The Financial Reporting and Control Department is responsible for transactional processing and reporting month end and year end results, balance sheet control and balance sheet and cash flow forecasting. The team is based mainly in Walsall. ABOUT THE ROLE As Head of Finance, you will be the Finance Lead in Reporting. Your key remit will be driving performance through process improvement, analysis and financial insight. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Review monthly accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) so that they are controlled, reported and analysed in a timely and accurate manner for stakeholders. Deliver statutory and group financial reporting. Maintain financial control and ensure that all accounting policies and standards are adhered to. Manage and improve reporting systems and processes; drive efficiencies and improvements. Lead direct reports and ensure the team is competent, engaged, developed and motivated. Manage the balance sheet and cash flow budget and forecast process. Manage the finance systems incidents- drive incidents through to resolution, influence, stakeholder management, deliver. Provide support to the wider finance team and work as part of the team to ensure financial processes and financial accounting are performed to a high standard. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes: Essential: Chartered/Certified Accountant. Proven post qualification experience. People and performance management experience. Oracle GL and Hyperion finance management. Financial Data Management. Proven ability to work in cross functional teams. A confident Finance leader able to proactively challenge, influence and gain alignment. Highly numerate with a passion for using financial tools and processes to assist in driving performance. Skilled user of Microsoft Excel/Office. Commercial awareness of the impact of financial transactions and analysis of financial results. Desirable: Experience of providing financial business partner support. Financial services experience.
