Robert Half are recruiting for an immediate Interim Head of HR for a manufacturing organisation in Birmingham

The immediate Head of HR role is required to start on Monday 17th of July for a six month plus period to stabilise and establish a fully functioning HR team for the organisation

We are seeking a tenured and experienced HR generalist professional with experience of OD, L&D, ER and implementing new structures and processes effectively

Key requirements and experience:
  • Create and establish strong working relationships staff on the factory floor and the operational managers of two very different factories in terms of culture
  • Assess, realign and settle a solid functioning HR structure and manage the HR team effectively so that they reach their potential and provide the business with the support it needs
  • Business partner with the Operations Director and work with him to continue to create a positive can-do culture underpinned by efficient HR support, processes and systems
  • Assess and write the HR strategy so this is in line with the business needs - establish effective work-streams for ER, OD and L&D in-line with the development of staff
  • Take a lead on staff feedback and create an action plan to address the areas required
  • Run an effective payroll function - making sure the HR team manages holidays and absence in an effective and timely manner
  • Experience with time and attendance systems and trouble shooting those would be of an advantage
  • Open and approachable communication style, coupled with a 'sleeves rolled up' approach

This role requires a hands on HR leader who is also able to see the top level strategy as well as deliver strong operational process and structure

The role requires a HR individual who understands an entrepreneurial and manufacturing environment
