Grade 1C £16,515 (pro rata)

37 hours per week term time only (36 weeks) 9.00 – 5.00 Monday to Thursday

9.00 – 4.30pm on Friday (0.8 FTE)

The Role

The focus of the Behaviour Support Officer is to support creating a campus that is safe and secure in an environment that is relaxing for learners, staff and customers. Providing a holistic approach to the learner experience, ensuring that the Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare of the learners and staff is addressed. 

The Requirements

You will have an understanding of behavioural safety management principles and be able to apply these to inform and educate. Therefore, excellent interpersonal & communication skill are essential. You will be required to promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with and you will need to be able to demonstrate a motivation to work with children and young people.

Confident to challenge, your positive attitude will support you in building rapport & motivate others. You will need to be customer focused, have a friendly yet professional and respectful approach which demonstrates support and shows mutual respect. You will need to be open, honest and an active listener who takes responsibility and accountability.  You will have a “can do” attitude, be participative, trusting and achieve expectations.
