Brief Description

Leading a team of five Technical Trainers (Workforce Development Specialists), you'll improve the proficiency and focus of Network Rail's maintenance teams. Assessing their capability, you'll design and develop a range of appropriate training programmes. You'll measure the impact of the training on the business, in terms of improving safety, performance, engagement and pride in a job well done. And, championing culture change, you'll set regular objectives for individual colleagues - motivating and inspiring them to meet both personal and business targets.

With strong leadership skills, you should have a strong commercial approach and understanding of business needs. You'll also need a thorough knowledge of the safety requirements, regulations and working instructions. Ideally, with a background and qualification in adult learning, you should also have an understanding of different learning styles.

Our Workforce Development Specialists/Technical Trainers are integral to developing our people and improving and maintaining the competency of our staff.

Measurably improve the capability of Network Rail's workforce through inspirational, value for money delivery of skills training including technical, safety & vocational training interventions.

Based at Walsall Training Centre and delivering when & where needed, in accordance with the annual training plan, adjusted for the needs of the relevant business function.

We adhere to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: GBP39,200 - GBP44,100
