North Shropshire College are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified teacher of engineering to deliver high quality teaching and learning experiences for our students. The right candidate will look to inspire and engage learners, whilst developing the provision to meet the needs of local employers and training students with skills relevant to employment and higher education. Ability to teach mechanical and electrical engineering is desirable. An ability to also teach some motor vehicle is desirable but not essential and may allow for an increased fraction.
The Engineering department is strategically targeted for growth at North Shropshire College. This growth is going to continue with our investment into the relevant areas of Engineering that meet local and national industrial needs.
The courses we run have a cover a broad range of engineering disciplines from; Design, Manufacturing, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to control systems and robotics. Suitable candidates should hold a Level 4/Degree level in Engineering and possess an Education qualification.
Under the direction of the Curriculum Manager to deliver high quality teaching and learning, including;
- Teaching and assessing on Engineering programmes
- Liaising with the Curriculum Manager to develop study programmes in the curriculum area
- Taking part in the Internal Performance Inspections and quality assurance procedures at the College
- Liaising with the Curriculum Manager in dealing with management information data
- Pastoral activities
