Home Care Assistants & Companions (Females)
Would you like to make a difference to an older adult in your local area by becoming a Home Care Assistant & Companion. Are you looking for part time hours in the Cannock area of Staffordshire, and are you a car driver?
You will be working for an award-winning provider specialising in companionship and care & support to private clients who are still very active, but may require support to help them to remain independent. This could include:
- Assisting them with their morning or bedtime routines
- Prompting to take medication
- Assisting with washing and dressing
- Taking them out shopping or attending local groups
- Attending doctors or hospital appointments
- Preparing meals and being a friend and someone for company
Being a Home Care Assistant & Companion is very rewarding and works both ways, you will also gain a companion & friend!
What are the potential hours?
You will be looking for part-time hours approximately 12-20 hours per week. Unfortunately, we cannot offer full time or school hours due to the nature of the work. If you are available some early mornings, lunchtimes, afternoons, evenings or a couple of hours on a weekend spare then this position is ideal for you.

You receive excellent training
Excellent hourly rate of:
- Daytime - 8am - 8pm £8.00 per hour
- Evening 8pm - 8am £8.10 per hour
- Weekend £9.75 per hour
- Bank Holiday £9.45 per hour
- Mileage 22p per mile
What skills do you need to be a Home Care Assistant & Companion?
Firstly, you must want to make a difference and have a big heart! You can be any age group and from any background there is no upper limit, the ability to be able to strike a relationship and rapport with the person you are paired with is so important. You should also be happy to provide personal care which could be helping someone brush their teeth, assisting with washing & dressing, or brushing their hair.
