New4all recruitment is acting as an employment business and is currently recruiting for a Book keeper to work for our client in the Uttoxeter. Our client is looking for a skilled bookkeeper to record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments and payroll. You will post information to accounting journals/ software and reconcile accounts to ensure their accuracy. Requirements · Proven bookkeeping experience · Experience of Sage 50 · Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles · Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figure and finical records · Data entry skills along with an aptitude for number · Hands on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software · Proficiency in English and in MS Office · High degree of accuracy and attention to detail · Job costing experience preferred but not essential Responsibilities · Record day to day finical transactions and complete the posting process · Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger · Run payroll and CIS · Bring the books to the reconciled trial balance stage · Perform partial checks of the posting process · Complete tax forms · Enter data, maintain records, management reports and finical statements including job costing reports · Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner using online BACS Hours and pay This position is Full time up to 40 hours per week. £25,000 PA.
