3rd Line IT Support Engineer
Windows Servers, Exchange, Virtual environments, Firewalls, TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Office 365, Helpdesk An experienced 3rd Line IT Support Engineer with excellent knowledge of Windows Server technology and a broad skill set to work in a fast-paced support environment. The 3rd Line engineer will have a solid background within IT providing first class services to clients. Experience in implementing technical solutions, supporting of servers, desktops, and network infrastructure. You must have strong experience of technical troubleshooting and problem solving. You will be involved in assisting the first & second line support team and IT Directors in extensive project work. 3rd Line IT Support Engineer technical skills requirements - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and above - Good knowledge of virtualisation including VMware and Hyper-v - Good knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 - Good knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs - Good knowledge of setting up and maintaining switches, routers and firewalls - Good knowledge of backup technologies - Knowledge of Office 365 particularly in a hybrid environment - Knowledge of SQL Server 2008 - Knowledge of Storage Area Networks - Knowledge of Windows Script Host/VBScript/PowerShell - Experience of patch management deployment/Windows Software Update Services - Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 - MCSE/MCITP or equivalent IT Qualifications an advantage - Migration experience would be beneficial About you - Experienced IT Professional - Strong communicator - Strong customer service orientation - Excellent problem solving skills - Ability to work under pressure and with other people - Strong time management and self-motivation skills with an exceptional work ethic - A lateral thinker - Keeping up to date with current industry trends and emerging technologies and best practices - Full Driving licence This will be a full-time role within a growing IT Support office during normal working hours, however some out of hours work will be expected along with working offsite away from home on occasion.
