The successful applicant for this Teaching Assistant role will be a motivated chemistry graduate who has already held a school-based position and achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree. It is essential for you to possess the ability to help students discover their own love of learning through sharing your own passion for education. Ideally, the school need a graduate who is able to exhibit the right attitude and drive that will allow them to excel in the teaching field for the rest of their career.

In this post you will be spending most of your working day within the school's Science Department, enhancing your skills through a brilliant CPD programme. You will have the responsibility of preparing the classroom for the upcoming lesson by ensuring all resources required are available to use. All support staff are helped along by a mentor who is an accomplished Class Teacher and will help you lead pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. The majority of pupils you will be working with will be Year 11 students who are preparing for their GCSEs in the summer.
