This Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school in Sandwell are looking to recruit a Geography graduate, with a 2:1 or above, to work as a Teaching Assistant for the 2017/18 academic year.

We are looking for a confident Geography graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and experience working with secondary aged children. You will be able to maintain a passionate approach to learning and display a thorough knowledge of the curriculum. The successful candidate for this Teaching Assistant position will have a natural desire to become a future star of teaching and have the drive to learn as much as possible from this experience.

In this Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant post you will be supporting general classes within the highly regarded Humanities Department. In general, you will be supporting the academic and personal growth of pupils in Key stage 3 & 4 and providing assistance with planning lessons. To ensure that you feel settled in the role, you will be mentored by a skilled Senior Teacher. You will work with the class teacher to identify pupils who will really benefit from your 1:1 support outside of the classroom in specified areas of the curriculum.
