Description Head of Fraud Strategy Walsall Permanent HomeServe are recruiting for a Head of Fraud Strategy to develop and manage fraud prevention strategies across the business. The Head of Fraud Strategy will recommend, develop and support the implementation of detection and prevention strategies across payment, claims, and internal processes for both colleagues and customers. The role holder will review and support change plans by identifying future fraud risk, and making recommendations to reduce or prevent the risk of fraud. The role holder will ensure that they remain current with new technology, ensuring future fraud prevention strategies are aligned. They will leverage networking opportunities across banking, merchant and fraud prevention specialists to understand best practice, trends and future fraud landscape. The Head of Fraud Strategy will be responsible for communicating fraud risk and measuring performance. In addition to: Identifying process and products which are open to either fraud or misuse Recommending and implementing fraud prevention strategies to reduce risk Reviewing internal colleague and customer activity to identify patterns and trends to prevent or reduce the risk of fraud or cost of the business Conducting investigations where suspicious activity is detected, producing supporting evidence and taking remedial actions Protect brand reputation and minimise financial loss to the business by developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure fraud risk and prevention is understood and embedded Supporting project teams as the fraud expert, recognising fraud risk and making recommendations to support change safely Produce MI across all established fraud metrics, demonstrating performance measures, capturing value of fraud prevention strategies Remain up to date with best practice, future trends and fraud landscape Support the business as the fraud expert, including delivering training and guidance where required Representing the business with any fraud related crime, providing statements as evidence and attending court where necessary Leverage network opportunities across the fraud prevention industry Supporting business objectives, engagement and other company deliverables. Work closely with Frontline colleagues to identify potentially fraudulent behaviour without compromising core Customer Promises or jeopardising the fair treatment of Customers Work closely with Product colleagues to recommend product/terms and conditions amendments that would reduce fraud incidents Collaborate closely with Finance, Underwriting and Compliance to agree the implementation of recommended policies The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and attributes: Essential: Graduate or equivalent experience Proven track record of developing and implementing prevention and detection strategies In depth understanding of fraud across both payment and customer process (friendly fraud), including understanding the financial impact of fraud losses Proven ability to analyse, interpret and communicate fraud risk and trends effectively Extensive industry knowledge of risk management/fraud prevention in a non-physical goods environment Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills Must be collaborative and solutions orientated Ability to work independently and able to make unaided decisions Desirable: Experience in an FCA regulated marketing environment Knowledge of financial impact of fraud losses, including charge backs rules and regulations, authorisation and settlement, interchange both domestic and globally Experience managing a fraud prevention / management team in either of the following: on line, consumer facing, service industry Knowledge of product portfolio Knowledge of product economics and HomeServe business model HomeServe is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and we are also happy to discuss flexible working for all of our jobs.
