A new opportunity has arisen for a strong, knowledgeable and forward thinking People Support Manager to join the People Development team at my Client's Head Office in Derby The successful candidate will ensure that the organisation's People Support team delivers - - An accurate, efficient, effective and customer focussed HR and payroll administration - First line advice service to all areas of the organisation, including colleagues and volunteers, which meets legal requirements, best practice and agreed internal service level agreements. - Will manage the HR system, currently iTrent, ensuring that it is up to date, fit for purpose, secure and intuitive to the needs of the organisation. - Will govern People Development intranet content, policies and procedures ensuring information is maintained and updated by relevant areas of expertise. - Will administer the management and fulfilment of HR supplier / partner contracts and advise on employee benefits, package and usage The Ideal Candidate: - Will be a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development - Working towards and willing to attain the MCIPD status. - Experience of managing a shared service HR function, including working on employee relations, recruitment, retention and training. - Will have inspirational leadership ability and people management skills. - Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of employment law. - Will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Have strong influencing, negotiating and presentation skills. - Will require excellent IT skills with the ability to interpret workforce information. - Will have the ability to work under pressure in a changing environment.
