ASD (Autism) Specialist Teaching Assistant required for a Walsall Primary School If you are experienced supporting pupils with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in a school, specialist or care setting then this could be the role for youThe Learning Support Plus Team at Monarch Education are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Walsall, who are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for an identified pupil with Autism (ASD)The school requires an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant who is:experienced supporting pupils or adults with Autism; must have a strong understanding of how a pupil's need can be met within a mainstream settingconfident managing challenging behaviour in the classroom and using de-escalation techniques. Team-Teach trained is not essential but would be a great advantageskilled working with pupils with communication difficulties; PECS training is advantageous but not essentialable to demonstrate the impact you have had a child's progress and developmentMonarch Education has been working with schools across Walsall for over 12 years and has built up an excellent reputation for putting our staff first.
