Are you looking to work within a varied role that will give you exposure to products and systems delivered to some of the biggest names within the pharmaceutical, food and energy markets? If so then carry on reading!

As a Design Engineer, you will responsible for the full design life cycle from start to finish, working alongside project and systems engineers to ensure the successful delivery of product packages to blue chip customers globally. This will combine aspects of applications, design and project engineering to design products, layouts and systems through to generating BOM's and supporting the research and development of new products.

Key Tasks:
  • Design of equipment and systems using Solidworks, ensuring application is fit for purpose and adheres to customer spec and requirements.
  • Work alongside R and D to develop and improve upon new and existing products.
  • Work in conjunction with project engineers to ensure all documentation is compiled correctly, through to supporting purchasing to ensure correct specification components are sourced.
  • Maintain and develop the 2D and 3D design library, continuously taking into account 5S and CI methodologies.
  • Schedule workload of design aspects while continually providing progress reports to project engineers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site surveys where needed, to ensure correct application or products in line with customer requirements.
The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering discipline, with a Degree being preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D Solidworks CAD.
  • Ability to read P+ID Diagrams with knowledge of the design and development of process related equipment and system including pumps, compressors, valves etc.
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations is preferable, but not essential.
  • Excellent attitude with the ability work both independently and as part of a team.

The salary for this role is ranging from 25,000 - 35,000 alongside a number of additional benefits including pension and training.
