A great role has just landed for an enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing business who specialise in providing bespoke automation solutions to the process industries. The successful candidate will be working on a range of Electrical and Instrumentation design activities on a varied portfolio of projects, whilst also taking a supervisory approach to the teams approach and progress throughout the project lifecycle.

In order to succeed in this role you'll need to be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:-

- Ability to produce control panel designs using AutoCAD Electrical (or similar CAD package).
- Educated to HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to prepare project specific technical packages (load schedules, instrument schedules, loop diagrams, technical specifications, operating instructions, panel schematics, spares schedules, preventive maintenance requirements, etc.) for instrumentation work to be executed.
- Able to produce electrical schematics for MCC's.
- Experience with components used in controls, process instrumentation and cabling used in process industry applications, such as: combustion systems, temperature and pressure related equipment, level monitoring equipment, analysers, programmable logic control systems and remote data capture/access SCADA systems.

On a day to day basis you'll be responsible for the following:-

- Responsible for detailed engineering design of electrical and instrumentation installations and commissioning activities to ensure equipment meet performance requirements
- Manage E&I related requirements and interfacing on project deliverables with our client's Technical Authority (including P&IDs, system control diagrams, cause & effect diagrams, technical schematics, layouts and user requirement specifications)
- Taking leadership of instrument and electrical engineering matters.
- Updating specifications and monitoring the quality of work from E&I subcontractors.
- Contribute to development of equipment maintenance strategies and use machine and site data to support development of asset integrity and condition monitoring capability
- Develop standard operating procedures within the scope of E&I, including: factory testing, installation/commissioning and fault identification
- Acting as the primary contact with clients and technicians to manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Responsibility for co-ordination of remote data capture systems and client interfaces for these systems.

This role is based in Wolverhampton and is commutable from Staffordshire, Shropshire, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Stourbridge, Telford, Shrewsbury, Walsall, Bridgnorth and Kidderminster.
