Our Ethics and Compliance team is at the heart of setting those standards. The role we are currently recruiting is specifically to support our business in the third parties it wishes to engage. Maintaining appropriate standards in this regard is a business critical function and the successful candidate will be working across all of our divisions with those at the forefront of delivering to our customers. As an ABC Compliance Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing the processes for appointing, renewing and overseeing all third parties that fall under the Company's global advisers policy and to provide sound support and advice regarding the policy to functional and business leaders throughout the Group. Experience of third party due diligence and report writing is essential and some investigation experience is desirable. Attention to detail is essential. Demonstrable capability of coping with a high volume of individual matters would be an advantage, as would experience of working in an international organisation. Applicants with a legal background preferred. Key Accountabilities - Supporting the ABC Compliance function in driving an organisational, principles-based understanding of the Company's global advisers policy and an appreciation of the compliance concerns involved. - Managing the administration of the Company's global advisers policy, including the appointment, renewal, panel review and oversight of all advisers. - Managing the due diligence of advisers, this includes the commissioning of due diligence reports with external providers and undertaking site visits. - Providing a world-class service with respect to the evaluation, approval and Compliance issues relating to the engagement of advisers. - Scrutinise with a high level of Compliance sophistication the applications and contracts associated with the appointment and renewal of advisers, and the periodic performance reports as required. - Preparing reports and materials for the adviser panel review meetings. - Liaising with Sector Compliance Officers and business personnel at all levels to provide advice and support with respect to the application and administration of the Company's global advisers policy. - Assisting the Head of Compliance Operation to develop and provide regular reports to the Chief Compliance Counsel regarding the status of the company's advisers and any related applications. - Supporting the identification of training needs and the development of word-class training solutions to support Company's global advisers policy. - Acting as an Ambassador for ABC Compliance and a Champion for compliance as a positive discriminator. Qualifications - Good graduate qualifications and at least two years of experience with an international company or law firm. - A sophisticated awareness of relevant ABC laws and significant experience (at least two years) in an ABC compliance role or otherwise dealing with ABC laws, legislation, regulations and best practices. - A demonstrated ability to engage with and converse with respect to ABC, commercial and contractual legal concepts. - Self-motivated, ability to work well independently and collaboratively with others in a team. - Ability to engage and communicate effectively with compliance colleagues and business personnel of all seniority levels. - Fortitude to deliver and stand behind compliance messages. - Passion and commitment to develop in professional capability.
