Account Executive with previous experience required for one of the leading independent insurance brokerages specialising in farming in England, Scotland and Wales.

The role of Account Executive will be responsible to manage a book of business of existing clients and develop a pipeline of new business in relation to commercial insurance, whilst ensuring full FCA compliance. Ensuring a high quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements.

Ideally you will have previous experience or an understanding of farming insurance industry or substantial experience within an insurance broker, with excellent technical understanding.

Responsibilities

* Achieve agreed annual sales targets and act in the best interest of the income account.
* Identify and act upon new business opportunities.
* To use compliance approved communications with clients and prospects (formletters).
* Display a competent approach, underpinned by a professional level of knowledge of
* Operate an effective credit control system and report as required.
* Ensure that you are in attendance when insurer surveys are carried out or loss adjusters present.
* Ensure any agreed risk improvements are carried out by the client within the time allocated.
* Attend technical and industry relevant training sessions.
* Ensure good geographical knowledge and time management skills for mapping out driving to and from farms.
* Be familiar with the FCA regulations as they apply to consumer and commercial clients, particularly concerning Advising and Selling standards, Renewals, Product Disclosure, Cancellation, Claims Handling and Record Keeping.
* Take personal responsibility for your CPD throughout the year.

Technical Knowledge required.

* Understand how the insurance market works.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with insurers and underwriters to the benefit of the company.
* Show a thorough knowledge of all relevant products.
* Understand where the Data Protection legislation affects the processes of this job.

* Demonstrate excellent communication skills [oral, written and verbal] that are effective and meet business needs.
* Prioritise and organise own workload.
* Demonstrate highly effective negotiating skills
* Be capable of working without supervision
