Transmission Design Engineer needed for an excellent career opportunity!

Our Client is currently recruiting for an experienced Transmission/Powertrain Design Engineer.

This is an exciting career opportunity to work within a World Leading Powertrain R&D Centre.

Job Purpose:

Provide expert technical leadership to transmission design within the transmission development team.
Key areas to include gear-train, bearing and shaft design, duty cycle development using applied software techniques, Novel concept generation, New Technology analysis and reporting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical leadership in transmission design engineering
Gear-train, Bearing and shaft design
Duty cycle development using advanced computer based techniques
New Technology analysis and reporting
Transmission CAE co-ordination to meet project needs

Personal Specification:

Degree qualified or similar qualification.
Minimum 10 years of powertrain design engineering experience
Good communication, information transfer and inter-personal skills with practical, pro-active hands on approach.
Capable of working efficiently as a team leader to tight deadlines.
Strong leadership skills and management skills.

Other Features of Job:

Primary location will be at Birmingham Business Park
Travel may be required but depends on project requirement
