Senior Officer - Online Specialist Great Britain's gambling industry is in a constant state of change, fuelled by shifting consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of technology. It's high profile politically too, and the legislation controlling gambling is constantly under scrutiny. Within this uniquely challenging and evolving environment, The Gambling Commission's role is to ensure that gambling is crime free, fair and open - and that children and vulnerable people are protected. Now they need you to play a key role in their future, driving the change needed to ensure that the Gambling Commission can meet the growing complexity of the market and their developing regulatory remit. The Gambling Commission are now looking for a Regulatory Advisor to join their team and provide guidance on matters relating to the online gambling industry.
If you have experience of the online gambling industry, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact with one of the nation's leading regulatory bodies.

As a Regulatory Advisor, you'll provide advice and guidance to colleagues, operators and stakeholders on a range of online gambling matters.

Building strong relationships, both internally and externally, you will monitor industry developments, advise on their policy implications and support the Commission's work in the fastest-growing sector of the British gambling industry.

As part of your role, you may be required to travel to sites overseas.

Specifically, you will:

- Assist with enquiries, complaints, licence applications and parliamentary questions
- Collate information on the online gambling industry
- Develop and manage relationships with operators and industry bodies
- Identify industry risks and trends
- Maintain your knowledge of legislation, policy or corporate governance changes

To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of working in the online gambling industry, either with an operator or supplier
- Previous experience of assessing complex information to understand its implications and making recommendations

Articulate and diligent, as the Regulatory Advisor, you'll have excellent relationship-building and management skills. You'll also have superb attention to detail, strong time-management abilities and a highly organised approach.

Knowledge of the following would be beneficial: The Gambling Act 2005, associated regulations and their application in the online gambling industry, risk and control frameworks in the online gambling industry, a technical understanding of software development and testing processes, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001.

Please note, the closing date for applications is 25th June 2017.
