To be successful in your Teaching Assistant application you must be an ambitious graduate who has worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role and an impressive academic record with a 2:1 or better in your degree. You will be able to stay on the look out for struggling students who need a little extra care and support. The Headteacher wants to recruit a graduate who has a desire to teach for as long as they can remember and will stop at nothing to achieve this goal.

In this post you will be working throughout the school assisting and supporting the teaching staff with their day to day duties. To ensure you are settled, you will be communicating frequently with the Headteacher so both you and your pupils are getting the most out of your placement. To help raise attainment in targeted areas, you will lead small booster sessions outside of the classroom to reinforce the Literacy and Numeracy skills of your pupils. As a Teaching Assistant you will have the responsibility of supporting the teacher as you ensure that all necessary resources are available for the lessons of the day.
