Senior Systems Engineer A world renowned organisation that specialise in the manufacture of critical and high precision parts for the aero-engine industry, our client offers an excellent opportunity to work within a highly skilled and regulated environment. Besides their manufacturing capabilities, they bring years of design and research knowhow to the table, as well as offering development cells for rotating engine components. With various sites across the UK and across the globe, this organisation operates in various high integrity industries including Aerospace and Defence. We are currently looking for a Control Hardware Systems Engineer with experience in aerospace control systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the world's leading aero engine manufacturers to manage the product lifecycle of aircraft engine control accessories. THE SALARY/RATE/PACKAGE/BENEFITS Senior Systems Engineer - £33 - £35 per hour - Initial 12 month contract (Long term) - Based in Derby THE CANDIDATE Senior Systems Engineer Essential Requirements are: - Good degree in Controls/Systems/Aerospace engineering or equivalent relevant engineering experience - A good understanding of aircraft engine components, engine operability and certification aspects of control accessories - Ideally 2 year's experience within engine control accessories engineering lifecycle - sensors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, filters, heat management units. - Excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and pro-active in team environment with responsible and dedicated attitude - Familiarity with industry standard Product / Application Lifecycle Management and requirements management tools (e.g. Teamcenter, NX, DOORS) - An ability to write and interpret control system requirements - Based in Derby with some supplier co-ordination visits. Consideration for working in Whetstone is also an option. THE ROLE Senior Systems Engineer - Develop and maintain technical specifications, requirements documents and interface control documents - Supplier co-ordination (checking of certification documents such as Qualification Acceptance & Test Procedures for acceptance) and communication with off-site teams - Proactively drive & manage suppliers to achieve milestones. - To co-ordinate, prepare for and carry out gate reviews from concept through to certification acceptance - To follow internal procedures and work instructions & report on progress to team lead, Chief Engineer and Resource Manager REFERRAL INFORMATION Please submit your CV via email to apply in the first instance.
