Due to continued growth and a number of recent, significant contract awards our client is now looking to appoint an AutoCAD Technician / Engineer, with the main purpose of the role to provide total Draughting support to produce exceptional quality engineering drawings and documents for various projects. The Role Produce 3D drawings using AutoCAD / Structural Detailing, and associated documents in support of various projects Create sketches / drawings as required by Clients and Engineers Ensure all work produced meets the required standards, and to maintain the drawing register and files Ensure completion of all works within agreed Client specifications, company requirements and project delivery timescales Regularly liaising with Project Managers, Engineers and Clients Assist Project Managers with data input, including co-ordinated setting out of drawings and schedules Maintain and develop a strong customer focus in the timely provision of accurate designs and drawings Ensure drawings are issued to site and Clients in a professional and timely manner The Person Up to 5 years' experience in a drawing / draughting office environment Extensive experience in the use of 3D AutoCAD, with a proficiency in AutoCAD Structural Detailing being ideal, although not essential A proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Word Ideally experienced within the structural / specialist steelwork industry, or within a related construction or engineering field Experience in the production of 3D drawings using AutoCAD Flexibility to be able to carry out your duties in the interests of the team, with the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own initiative A keen eye for detail and willing to take responsibility for the detailed content of all work as produced Aspiring to develop professionally with a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and a desire to increase your experience in the production of 3D AutoCAD drawings This challenging and exciting opportunity, based in the Midlands, requires an individual with demonstrable experience of producing 3D AutoCAD drawings, ideally with a background from within any of the following sectors; structural steelwork (any area / application, including general steel fabrication), structural engineering, RC structures / concrete structures, construction, general engineering, civil engineering, rail or infrastructure.
