This established, successful and rapidly expanding interiors installation specialist is currently seeking an experienced Estimator for their Midlands based team. The role will suit an Estimator with a demonstrable track record of success, ideally working with either bespoke glazed screen, partition systems and curtain walling or product installations of a similar nature Reporting to the company’s Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and pricing materials, labour and numerous others relevant factors prior to submitting project estimates and quotations for a range of jobs across the region. You’ll create technical proposals and subsequent budgets for customers and potential customers, while analysing sub-contractor quotes and other associated suppliers Working closely with the in-house team, your role will also be to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, while effectively liaising with stakeholders, sub-contractors and suppliers in order to help with the company’s continued growth and promote its reputation of quality within a competitive market place Key responsibilities will include: · Discussing projects requirements and liaising with customers / potential customers · Effectively working from technical drawings · Analysing tender documents · Preparing budget, contract and legal documents · Negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors · Procurement of services and supplies · Maintenance and upkeep of accurate records · Reporting · Attending customer and potential customer meetings · Site visit and inspections · Query resolutions With proven relevant experience from within the construction industry and associated knowledge of materials, building regulations, estimating and H&S, you’ll be a competent project manager, with a keen eye for detail and methodical, resourceful approach. Organised and with a natural tendency for up to date and accurate associated administration, you’ll possess strong commercial acumen, with the ability to work to and meet deadlines when required, as well as effectively resolving problems that may arise Strong communication and inter-personal skills will be considered a given, as will be the desire to provide consistent customer service and care. A BTEC HNC, HND or degree in a relevant subject will be an advantage On offer in return is a basic starting salary of c£36,000 - £40,000 per annum (negotiable), along with discretionary annual bonus, pension and 23 days annual holiday entitlement (plus statutory bank holidays). Primarily office based, this role will also involve site visits and attendance at customer meetings around the region. A full and valid UK / EU driving licence is essential.
