A large automotive systems manufacturer in Burton-on-Trent are looking to increase their Quality Engineering department. The international FTSE 100 Company have over 30 on site which houses design, procurement, development and international engineering support. They've been running in the UK since the 1950's and offer an excellent internal promotion, training and development plan as well as being winning numerous Lean Engineering awards. This Manufacturing Quality Engineer role will require you to: - Voice your ideas on value analysis engineering activities - APQP activities as part of Continuous Improvement and NPI projects - Prepare capital budgets - Calculations for line balancing - Implement permanent corrective actions - Build initial process visuals for manufacturing - Contribute your ideas to manufacturing cell layout design To be successful for this role, you should hold or be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: - An Engineering Degree or NVQ equivalent - Awareness and use of Six Sigma - Excellent proven problem solving skills - Automotive industry experience as a Quality Engineer - Process Flow development & improvement, as well as line balancing - Use of automotive Quality tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA & DFMEA The role will offer you: - A base salary of £35,000 per annum - Free parking - An environment where your ideas are welcome and heard - Opportunity for you to use your experience to improve manufacturing quality - The chance to enter the companies international training and development scheme, which offers further incentives, such as routes to management, international training, car allowances and more.
