Project Assistant Contract Type: 12 Month Temporary (potential extension) Job Purpose We are seeking a dynamic individual with experience in engineering maintenance stores to work on a spares stores project; the role will involve the identification and control of critical spares in support of a manufacturing site. Liaising with key stakeholders both internal and external to identify gaps in existing stock holdings against targeted machine assets and expediting requests line with project plan. Capture and record all stock parts onto master spreadsheet following standard referencing protocols in line with the project plan. Key Responsibilities Follow the work plan ensuring all deadlines are met Work in a methodically manner using clear and concise communication Identify and catalogue existing spares following a defined protocol Physically relocate parts from existing locations to new Identify and submit cost saving opportunities within the project where applicable Ensure all 5S and Health & Safety protocols and standards are adhered to. Updating MRP systems. Liaising with Engineers and team leaders & attending meetings as & when required Skills and Experience required: Ideally you will be experienced in Project roles and/or MRO stores management. Good working knowledge of Excel Experience in project roles/work Experience in the use of inventory best practice would be a distinct advantage Knowledge of machine spares would be a distinct advantage Cycle counting LEAN - 5's principles A professional polite and articulate manner at all times Self-confidence to build relationships with customers and suppliers to work as part of an effective team with excellent communication skills Self-starter with a positive outlook always willing to rise to the challenge and show initiative and creativity This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/74209990
