My client are an award winning main contractor working across the North West, Yorkshire and The Midland. They operate as a group formed of multiple division each specialising to form long-term and lasting relationships with key clients. Specialising in general contracting and construction they are undergoing a period of significant growth and have a number of new contract wins which will take the regional turnover well above £100m. Projects within this region currently stand from £10m to £55m. Project sectors include education, healthcare, housing, commercial, industrial and leisure. Ahead of a new project, a £15m complex new build of an education development, they now are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to oversee the project for its duration, from inception to completion. As a Project Manager you will be supported by a visiting Contracts Manager whilst onsite support will come in the form of a Site Manager and Senior Engineer. Your responsibilities will include; Leading the site team to ensure they undertake duties in accordance to programme and the company best structure. Prepare presentation reports to client and senior management, often on a monthly basis. Prepare and monitor programme and phasing documents, with the ability to discuss with all relevant parties. Establish a professional and safe site set up. Oversee all commercial aspects of the project in question. Understand and manage design issues, in accordance with the Design manager, where practice and necessary. Ensure subcontractors perform to programme and to the quality required by the company and client. Projects typically will be throughout the Manchester, Midlands and South Yorkshire regions so location within travelable distance to these areas would be necessary. You will be a Project Manager with minimum 5-7 years' experience delivering £10m schemes of this type as sole Project Manager, with number 1 status. You will (preferably) be educated to degree level qualification in a Construction related discipline. You will also possess all relevant industry qualifications and tickets including CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid (all three necessary) and NEBOSH (preferable). The role brings a salary of circa £50,000 full associated benefits package including company car or allowance, 25 days holiday (plus statutory bank holidays), private medical insurance, group pension scheme and more.
