Interim Project Accountant Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Qualified Project Accountant based in Stafford. This project is expected to last for 12 Months. Our Client Sheridan Maine is thrilled to share a fantastic opportunity working for a prestigious manufacturing business. Due to a major transformation project and the existing finance team fully stretched they have decided to go to the market for a qualified Project Accountant who can support the Senior Management Team in recovering project costs in a timely fashion. The Role As the Interim Project Accountant your duties will be to track ,monitor and provide timely reporting on project costs. Duties and Responsibilities Assess current recovery process whilst maintaining recovery at current levels Create new improved claims and recovery process Ensure all project and claims reporting hit milestones dates Investigate the process for claiming additional sums not recognised in the original mapping exercise Ensure all claims are evidenced thoroghly Highlighting risk to the senior management team, taking steps to minimise all risk Person specification The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant able to demonstrate previous experience in managing project finance, Project milestones, claim submissions meeting statutory requirements and adept at senior stakeholder management. Requirements include Qualified Accountant ACMA/ACCA/ACA Track record of managing projects in a timely ,organised fashion and high class project delivery Experience in dealing with claims from non governmental bodies would be an advantage An understanding of Prince 2 or other project methodology would be an advantage but not essential Proven risk management expertise within context of a project What is on offer?
