Apprentice Warehouse Team Member The company This company is a leading supplier of motor car parts in the Midlands area.They have a range of brands including their own trade brand – body and trim parts, brakes, clutch, electrical parts, etc.They have 8 branches located across the Midlands and are expanding. What the company is looking for? An Apprentice aged 16 - 18 - An apprentice to work in their warehouse on all general warehouse duties along with their Warehouse team. - Someone who is reliable and hardworking. - Good communication skills. - You will work on taking deliveries of goods and storing them. - Good attention to detail so that you can check for damaged or missing items, check orders and ensure correct items are sent out from the warehouse. - As an Apprentice Warehouse Team Member you will be moving stock by hand and with machines, packing and wrapping goods, loading goods for sending and keeping stock records. - The Apprentice Warehouse Team Member will need to be flexible and carry out all duties required including working on the customer service desk and cleaning the warehouse. - Your training The training will take place at the LEMA academy in Birmingham and you will first spend 2 days per week gaining your Level 1 Certificate in Engineering Manufacture.On successful completion of this you will move onto your Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Business Improvement Techniques where you will spend 10 days split over two weeks in the academy.You will also be required to complete a work based project as part of your qualification as agreed with your employer.If required you will complete your Functional Skills in Maths and English. You will require a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A to E including Maths and English or equivalent.
