Job Title: Test Technician – Rolling Stock Location: Newton Aycliffe Duration: 4 – 6 months Wanted Experienced Electrical Test Technicians with valuable experience of working on Rolling Stock is required for a test and fault finding role for a new fleet of trains which are to be released to the public in 2018 Our client, Hitachi Rail, is an A star leader within rolling stock with their established name being recognized not just Nationwide but also Worldwide. Being a lead supplier they offer traction equipment, signaling, traffic management systems and maintenance depots. A fantastic new project is ready to commence and requires a team of dedicated, motivated and knowledgeable Electrical Test Technicians. The Candidate: Let’s get down to business… the role will suit you if you like working in a fast-paced environment with an ever-expanding team. You will be strong electrically skilled with a keen eye for detail, problem solving ability, with quality test and fault finding skills. You will also represent yourself and our client to a high standard by showing professionalism and valuable core ethics. The Role: So, you’re the right candidate for the job and you need to know your duties as a Test Technician. Reporting to the Test Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out test procedures, recording results of the tests on a pass / fail basis, undertake fault finding tasks and provide general support to the Test Supervisor and Engineers in investigations of failures and feedback to the relevant departments as well as other key duties. Requirements: Excellent experience in test and fault finding, electrical background from Rolling Stock, Aerospace or the Armed Forces with a minimum qualification requirement being a NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship / C&G Level 3 within an engineering discipline. Willing to complete a full medical that includes drug & alcohol screening. Salary: £25.72 plus a project completion bonus.
