new4all recruitment limited are acting as an employment business and are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Manager for our client based in the Lichfield area. The position may offer live in accommodation and a possible bonus scheme. Responsibilities and Duties Business Activities · Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant · Analysing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability · Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week · Taking responsibility for the opening and closing of the premises · Support creation and execution of plans for department sales, profit and staff development · Support maintaining set business KPI’s including labour %, wet GP % and sales Front-of-House Activities · Organising and supervising the shifts of waiting staff · Managing and monitoring restaurant staff and providing them with feedback · Ensuring employees open and close restaurant areas in accordance with guidelines · Responding to customer complaints and esqulating when required · Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company’s uniform standards · Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations · Advising customers on menu and wine choice · Upselling items and advising of current and future promotions and events · Motivating, training and supporting the development of staff · Ensuring food service remains consistent from all waiting staff · Ensuring food preparation and presentation remains consistent · Ensuring communication is constant between the restaurant and kitchen management · Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service · Organising and supervising the shifts of waiting and cleaning staff · Responsible for management of handover diary · Being aware of maintaining high standards or quality control, hygiene, health and safety and maintenance · Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate · Avoids legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission · Ensure restaurant staff complete all housekeeping duties at the start, end and during the shift as required · Being aware of wastage and recording wastage Skills/Qualifications Required · People management · Organisation · Team player · Giving feedback · Customer service · Self-motivated · Verbal communication · Sales Hours and Pay The position is for 50 hours a week, with an annual salary of £24-27k with possible bonuses.
